"At least two-thirds of our miseries spring from human stupidity, human malice and those great motivators and justifiers of malice and stupidity: idealism, dogmatism and proselytizing zeal on behalf of religous or political ideas."

I told you it wouldn't be a whole year - just a month!

I've stumbled across some groovy electronica - check trax on this page:

http://lectrick.dmusic.com/

I've recently started singing. My vocal doomsday has arrived. Luckily (although not really in context), I can use a vocoder to hide any trace of my voice :o (Eeek!)

I can't believe I've been away for a whole year - still, sorry to anyone that missed me.

In case you haven't spotted them, there are four new tracks in the 2HK folder

Enjoy the festive period and try not to get too caught up in the commercialism of it all,

See you next year (I'll make sure it's not another 12 months)

Mary Lou is now fixed.

"Welcome" by Nev Hawkes is getting worked on again today, hence it can't be finished yet.....RSN, I promise.

April 8th, 2004 @ 5:26AM

Nev Hawkes is scheduled to finish recording on his song "Welcome (to the lie)" today.

After we do a "quick" mix, I'll upload it for y'all, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but probably today. :) (Smile)

I'll also upload another Rhythm Street track, featuring Tom Fox. He has an amazing voice, and if you Lurve soppy romantic songs, you may well lurve this one - it's Called "Mary Lou" (no, not the famous Buddy Holly one, it's the one you haven't heard yet).... at least I don't think you have.

Cheerio chaps,

Paul

Just in case you were wondering.... It's ME! I'm back.

Let me see now, where were we ? Ah yes, "Cracked", "Province", "Starting to See", "Cutting Cables" and "Grey Ghost" - plus BlockAid and recently "Right Through" are all but finished and awaiting some form of vocal ability.....only another three or four and the latest CD will be finished.

I have also started work with Nev Hawkes, a long time friend and fellow musician, who needs some of his songs recording, and I offered, why not ? I might learn something, and if the song's as good as I think it is, then I might help him get some recognition too - when it's ready you WILL hear it here on dmusic first.

The 2HK site over on Ampcast has closed, so this is about the only place you'll get to hear 2HK from now on... - stop cheering at the back! If any one has heard of the 2HK honcho Bengt, tell him to drop me a line, as his flat stands empty and his email gets bounced. Hopefully he hasn't run away to IRAQ. Remind him also that he does NOT owe me any money or anything.

The last five days have been spent in the rain, in the garden, digging holes and erecting (is that allowed ?) a fence! See how practical I can be, given the expert guidance by my father in law ? I'm now just waiting for it to blow down in the slightest of breezes.

Toodle pip, mateys.

I know, I haven't been online recently - but that's because I've been recording again. Two tracks on the go at the moment, "Province" (the one with three lots of 3/4 followed by a bar of 4/4) and "Cracked" (in comparitively simple 13/8 - I know, I need locking up).

Recording is due to start again on Monday 5th Jan 2004, so as soon as I find a decent Vocalist I can add the vocal. Failing that, the unthinkable may happen and I might have to sing them myself. Be warned. :) (Smile)

So, without further ado - I'd like to wish every member of dmusic a happy and enjoyable New Year.

Paul
Peace
